Stepping
Stone Class – Adult class with Children
"The grass withers, the flowers fade,
but the Word of our God remains forever." Isaiah 40:8
“Who’s got breakfast today?” That’s
the ongoing ice breaker every Sunday morning!
We meet at 9:45am in RM 204 at the Klein Campus. Jason Foster is
the Director and Allen Stephens teaches. Allen is a dynamic teacher who has an awesome God-given talent that leads you
to actually “feel” the lesson. The Stepping Stone Class is in building mode, as I pray each and every Sunday
School Class at SBC is. We are a small group with lots of personality and fun!
Our class is one that
truly loves fellowship. During the school year, every other week, members of the class meet for Small Group consisting
of a lesson and devotion time with fellow Christians. This Spring, the Small Group lesson is "Quiet Strength"
based on the book by Tony Dungy; discovering God's game plan for a winning life. Small Group is led
by Tyrone Griffith. We just recently enjoyed a fun and eventful evening of bowling. (See the Class Photos
page.) This was a new excursion for some and old for others. Nevertheless, the fellowship was wonderful and that
is what brings us all closer together. We have really enjoyed coming together as a class and a church in all the fun
events over the past year: July 4th Picnic, VBS, the Neighborhood Blitz, Family Fun Night, Round-Up Sunday, and many more
opportunities to get together are around the corner!
We are blessed to see new faces join us for Sunday School
and pray that we may minister to each of their needs. Just this Spring, one of our visitors joined our class, made her
profession of faith and followed in believers baptism. Praise God! “Step” on in and join the
fun, doing the Lord’s work in reaching our community for Christ!
